These days the word on the street is mostly about the bad times that the country is currently going through. We are in an economic crisis, it is impossible to get a job and even if we are successful in this venture it will be decades before we can afford to get ourselves on the property ladder. There is no denying that it is a worrying time to be young and any projections into the future seem to suggest that things are not set to get any brighter in years to come.
It is all well and good living your life with the negative outlook hanging over you, but the truth is the country has got through tougher times in the past; it just takes a strong person with the will power to succeed to make sure they stand out from the crowd and make the right decisions to thrive in the future.
A good place to start is to think about employment sectors that are struggling. It is easy to assume that just because the jobs market is becoming increasingly difficult to break into that no matter what you do you are going to struggle to secure anything that you enjoy that can guarantee stability for you for the future. However, a little bit of research could prove that to be wrong very quickly.
The truth is that there are always going to be sectors that are struggling and that are always desperate to receive qualified and enthusiastic candidates. For example, the world of social work is expansive and has a lot of job roles to fill and it is a lack of interest in these roles that has led to the government funding post-graduate schemes in order to increase application rates.
The world of teaching is another one that always need more people to commit their careers to, this became no more apparent than when we began to see television advertisements urging us to decide to dedicate our lives to becoming teachers. It is easy to understand why many people would shy away from making this their aim in life, after all; who liked their teachers at school? But when you think about it, it is an incredibly rewarding job in every aspect.
It is also a rather misunderstood career as many believe that subjects must be taught by people who are obsessed with that particular medium. However, the truth is all it really takes is someone that is dedicated to spending their time to help develop the youth that country has to offer.
It is widely assumed that to become an English teacher you must love reading but the truth is that, aside from the fact that the subject is much more than reading, even if you do not get along with spelling and linguistics you could still be the best English teacher in the country. It is about the passion and the ability to lead a class that respects you and hangs on your every word. In a way you need to tell the tale of the English language that will help to inspire the next generation of world beating writers and linguists.
